School construction in Saraf Oumra
byStefan Maier/25.03.2025/inProjects
Our new project. In Karakoulle, 100 girls and boys go to school. They no longer have to walk to the small town of Saraf Oumra, one hour there and one hour back every day. But when they have finished elementary school, they can attend a secondary school there, the Al-Ikhlas private school of the Tama tribe, to which the children all belong. However, there is still no school building for the two lowest classes, which are currently taught in wooden sheds, exposed to the wind and sun. Despite the war, all the necessary building materials are available locally and work is already well underway. We have taken over the financing, our donors are making it possible.
